We all receive the consequences of our forefather’s sins, but it is our own depravity or utter wickedness that causes our individual level of “Family Mess.” Since sin is universal and the impact of the consequences of our forefather’s sins is universal, everybody experiences “Family Mess” at some level. But, the thing that determines our individual level of “Family Mess” is our own human depravity.
Praise God, that one day, when we were bound in the “Family Mess” of our family tree, God provided “The Guiding Light” of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!! If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you have accepted the call of God to rise above “Family Mess.” If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you still can! If we are going to rise above “Family Mess” and obey God, we are going to have to trust God. Faith is our abandonment to and rest in God’s biblical promises. God will not fully reveal His destiny for you, until you leave home.
If we are going to rise above “Family Mess” and
become the men and women that God wants us to become, we are going to have
to obey God!
There are times in our lives when God calls us to grow up emotionally and spiritually. There are times in our lives when God calls us to go out with him and leave our relatives behind. It is through intimate relationship with Him that He wants to begin to deliver us from “Family Mess.” When we let our relatives try to travel with us, against the direct commandments of God, we allow “Family Mess” to travel with us. |
